Sophie is always in trouble at school for daydreaming. She has a great imagination and sometimes confuses reality with her dreams. The story opens with Sophie maintaining that she is going to go to the ‘sky on Friday’, her latest daydream. She seems convinced that this is going to happen. Her classmates and teacher think that she is crazy but it does not stop Sophie believing.

And she is right. She arrives in the Sky in the very next scene and much to his delight, her best friend Simon has somehow ended up there too. They meet some starlets, some very well spoken and highly educated clouds who keep disappearing and Star who is very dull because she has lost her ‘twinkle’. She had her confidence stolen from her and her ‘twinkle’ frozen by the Ice Queen who thinks the stars are stealing the clouds who protect her Kingdom from the Sun. Sophie decides to help Star find her twinkle. This pursuit leads them all on a great adventure.

This show has approximately 30 speaking parts which can be doubled up.

It is suitable for Primary/Elementary or Junior High School students. There is an opportunity for some teachers, parents or local celebrities to be involved.
